First look at Assassin

How far would you go for revenge? For survival?

Former model turned forensic psychologist and PI Mak Vanderwall is missing, presumed dead in Paris. By hiring a hit man to kill her, the powerful and corrupt Cavanagh family aimed to silence her for good. But after narrowly escaping death, Mak has taken over her would-be killer’s world.

She is very much alive. And transformed …

Back in Sydney Mak’s former flame, criminal profiler Andy Flynn is on the trail of a vicious rapist and murderer with possible ties to the infamous ‘Stiletto Killer’. He may have struck before and will certainly do so again. And while Andy struggles to cope in a world without Mak, little does he realise she is on her way back. And this time she’s ready to make her own justice.

    Hi Tara,

Saw you on TV when you were part of the Feminist debate. You said something very cringeworthy to be said by a woman of your intellect. It was regarding the Dr.Google comment. Not many people realise that Google results are actually presented to you on the basis of previous searches YOU made on Google. Basically, Google tries to HELP you with more relevant results. You, being a crime writer no doubt had some searches that ranked up EVIL so that ‘Why is feminism evil’ was 2nd. On my searches, its is fourth after Wiki, Feminism.com and Feminism topics in Philosophy. In essence, Google places you in an information bubble.

Big fan BTW. Also, too lazy to find your email address.

    Hi Mr Wolf,
Thanks for your comment. I’m not sure why it is cringeworthy for me to mention that horrid website comes up as a top search for ‘feminism’? It is always on the first search page, often in the top 4 results (I checked various computers, including a public one before I made the comment on stage). That is a bit incredible, considering the content. Sure, on mine it comes up in the top three, and fourth on yours.

    Not worth mentioning?
